About

FB jennifer cover march 2013 small Suburban Catwalk (formerly Haute Weekly, takes runway fashion and turns it into ideas regular women can relate to.  Helping women step outside their black, white and gray “fashion box” one little step at a time in order to wake their inner fashionista.

Practical advice for fashion, beauty and recently the new category “Home Style”.   Suburban Catwalk has the reputation for creating a cult following and making the latest beauty tips and hottest fashion trends accessible to the women of the Midwest.

While there are loads of blogs for young, beautiful people, Suburban Catwalk stands out as focusing on the 30+ women of the world who may have a few kiddlets running around, but still want to look like a hottie for the hubby.  We talk about less beautiful things like wrinkles and stretch marks and making your hair look like you actually washed it this week.

Suburban Catwalk is lighthearted, written from the heart and sometimes with a touch of sass (or snarkiness).  It’s real.

Jennifer Hermon, creator of Suburban Catwalk, was Kansas City’s first fashion and beauty blogger.  Working social media before social media was cool, this mom of three boys loves balancing the work, the fun and the family (usually a few plates fall and break in the process).  Appearing several times over the years on Kansas City’s Fox4 and Kansas City Live for her fashionable roll as chief fashionista and CEO of Haute Market, the shopping party, Jennifer has run the fashionable circuit.

Jennifer has sat front row and blogged right from New York Fashion week (and snuck backstage countless time) to bring the hottest news to Kansas City fashionistas.  Keeping tabs on the pulse of fashion and beauty news through contacts in both industries, around the globe. Making fashion and beauty news accessible to the women in the Midwest region.

Jennifer contributed regularly to the Lucky Magazine community and has worked with many local magazines as fashion stylist and writer.  She has been written about in 435 Magazine, KC Business Journal, the Johnson County Sun, the Kansas City Star….
