It’s a bit dull compared to most coats I love, but I think every chic gal should have a peacoat.  Perhaps spice it up with some color like this one from LLBean.com  $199 in vintage red.

It’s a classic in America dating back hundreds of years.  I think I became enthralled as a child when I found my dad’s navy coat.  This coat sailors wore that turned into a staple in the american woman’s wardrobe.  Originally made of wool and in navy color, you can now find a ridiculous variety in color and style.

Once I start searching I find even more ways to spice up the traditional peacoat. Like this faux fur trim coat at Macys.com by INC currently on sale for $34.99, was originally $149.50. Bargain hunters cue the drooling.  I could absolutely see this with jeans and my red platform shoes!

In trying to keep my fab finds under $200 I finally happen upon this Kenneth Cole New York double breasted peacoat on sale at Nordstrom.com for $119.90
