The pursuit of the perfect swim cover up

Swim season = cover up time!

I don’t know many ladies who are uber excited about slipping on that first bathing suit of the season-unless you’re Gisele or Adrianna-so for the past two years I’ve made it my mission to find the ULTIMATE cover-up!

When you search high and low for the best bikini or one-piece, why hide it under an over-sized t-shirt or boring towel.  Here’s a few ideas I”m excited about to spice up your cover-up life:

CAFTAN: MY personal favorite!  I am still narrowing down my decision deciding which exact caftan I am going to purchase myself.  The reason I am in love with caftans is that they transition in so many ways.  They can be used during the day, poolside lounging around, into the evening for cocktails.  You’re able to dress it up and wear it casual,  and it’s so comfortable.

PANTS:  Pants are a great options for a cover up because they provide coverage but can give you options.  There are sheer and eye-let options if you want more of a sexy or exposed look or linen or opaque pants if you want to be covered up.  They can then be worn with just the swim suit top or or with a  breezy, flowy tank.  For the cooler evenings, a pull over sweater or sweatshirt will provide more warmth.

ROBE/KIMONO:  I really love this look because it’s versatile and the materials come in all types.  They are sheer, terry cloth, silky, crochet, etc.  The coverage level can vary as well.  You can wear this open if you’ve been working for your bikini body all year (lucky you!) or tie it up if you aren’t as confident.  Feel free to accessorize this look with a hat, sun glasses and sandals, depending on where you want to go with your look.  Bangles too!
