Did you hear the collective screams at a few minutes before 9pm last night? If you were anywhere near the Kansas City metro it would have been hard to miss. As our home-town boy, David Cook, was announced as the 2008 American Idol, the roar was unleashed our little metro finally had something to celebrate.
Part of me didn’t want him to become so further tied to the Idol cult. I’d rather see him on his own, performing on his terms, deciding how he dresses and does his hair.
So hopefully he still gets to call the shots, choose his style and keeping amazing us.
Congrats David and the Cook family. KC is proud!
